This was built by the Strickland family of Boynton Hall in the 18th century. It was briefly used as a lookout post during World War II, but basically it is just a folly. It is octagonal and supposed to be loosely based on the Greek Temple of the Winds. The above photos show how it looked in 2010 after repairs and how it was before. The old photo was taken during a blizzard.

After that people could not resist having a look inside and it was broken into. The photos below, from 2023, show the break-in point, the stairs inside and what is left of one of the floors.
